Why do we use tracking?

We track what people do on this website in order to improve our product and measure the results of our marketing campaigns. For example we like to look at how many people are visiting each page of the site, what marketing campaign they came from and whether they come back to the site. This is done primarily by cookies and local storage, so if you clear your cookies in your browser you'll look like a new user to us.

We always attempt to collect the bare minimum data we need to make the product useful. When we use 3rd-party tools they may collect data we don't use, but we always try to use the strictest settings where possible. For example we anonymize your IP address in Google Analytics so there's no way to personally identify you just by browsing the website. When you log in at app.vexpower.com we also assign a user id so we can tie your behaviour together across devices - then you are personally identifiable by your email address (though you can log out at any time). If you want to delete any historical data, or if you have any questions, you can contact mike@vexpower.com.
